BCT is a family-friendly community of artists, educators, parents, and young performers. We asked some of our parents to share how BCT has impacted their children – see what they had to say!

“BCT is an amazing opportunity to expand your theatre experiences and work on technique as a more experienced actor, while giving you great chance to get involved with theatre for the first time. I’ve met so many amazing people through BCT and learned so much from the production team.”    –    Megan P.

“BCT has provided Megan with such a wonderful introduction to theater over the past few years. Not only has she forged some great friendships through BCT, she has learned the importance and value of starting from scratch with a team and creating something very special and magical not only for the audiences, but for themselves as well. BCT has created some special memories for Megan as well as the rest of our family.”     –    Dan and Debbie Polk

“We first learned about BCT last year, when my then 8-yr old son told me he wanted to “be in a play”. What we thought would be just “another activity” truly turned into an amazing experience for my son and our whole family. Being in a well-run group theater production really taught our son about team work, creativity, responsibility, openness and all while having so much fun. Of course, my son doesn’t realize that’s what he learned; he just thinks the experience was “totally awesome”. But as his parents, we saw those character traits grow! Miss Amanda, Andrew and the whole team have really got a great thing going at BCT and we are excited to see where they take it!”    –    Rob and Ellen Snow, Founders of Stand Up for Downs

“One thing I love about Buckeye Community Theatre is the chance to make people smile. My family at Buckeye and I have made a bond like no other.”    –    Portia B.

“I have made so many memories and friends though BCT. I recently played the stepmother in Cinderella and assistant director for Elf Jr. I started with Buckeye in 5th grade and have grown up with Amanda and most of the people still with us. Buckeye is my home, and will forever be in my heart.”    –    Abbey M.

“When I first came to BCT, I had very little experience in theater. When I finished my 1st show with BCT, I felt like I learned everything I needed to know! The staff and actors I have met have been the kindest and most loving people I have ever met. They are like family and I love working with them.”    –    Maddie L.

“My favorite part of Buckeye Community Theatre is how everyone who wants a solo is given one. Everyone in included, so everyone has a great time performing. The directors are kind and caring, and for many people BCT is a home away from home and a second family.”    –    Sam H.

“Buckeye Community Theatre has provided me with an opportunity to grow as an actor in a way that nobody else in Northeast Ohio has been able to meet. The people here have been like a second family to me. I couldn’t imagine my life without them.”    –    Nicholas B.

“Fun, colorful, & entertaining!”    –    Krina Walsh
