  • Week 1: Getting To Know You -Theatre Games, What is a Monologue?
  • Week 2:  Picking The Right Monologue, Comedy/Drama
  • Week 3: Blocking/Staging A Monologue, Memorization Help
  • Week 4: Practice Monologue, Provide Feedback 
  • Week 5: Perform Monologue For Others 

Class Information

Many auditions now require performing a monologue. This class is aimed at all students; from beginners to seasoned actors.  In this class, you will select a short monologue with the help of the instructor, Mr. Ott. Students will have the opportunity to perform their monologues in front of their peers.

Objectives

An Introduction To Monologues. They will learn about picking a monologue that suits their needs. They will receive a printed copy of their monologue. Students will then develop a staged monologue with the help of the instructor and other students. Session 5 will conclude with the student’s option to perform their monologue in front of the instructor and other students.
