Special Memories

BCT has provided Megan with such a wonderful introduction to theater over the past few years. Not only has she forged some great friendships through BCT, she has learned the importance and value of starting from scratch with a team and creating something very special and magical not only for the audiences, but for themselves as well. BCT has created some special memories for Megan as well as the rest of our family.

Great Thing Going

We first learned about BCT last year, when my then 8-yr old son told me he wanted to “be in a play”. What we thought would be just “another activity” truly turned into an amazing experience for my son and our whole family. Being in a well-run group theater production really taught our son about team work, creativity, responsibility, openness and all while having so much fun. Of course, my son doesn’t realize that’s what he learned; he just thinks the experience was “totally awesome”. But as his parents, we saw those character traits grow! Miss Amanda, Andrew and the whole team have really got a great thing going at BCT and we are excited to see where they take it!

Auditions begin tomorrow, Tuesday April 24th!

A few reminders:
- Please read the entire confirmation email regarding date/time/location, and most especially, audition requirements.

- Our Musical Director will provide accompaniment. We ask that no one sing acapella.

- Properly prepare for the audition! We have over 80 kids bringing their "A" Game, so do your very best.

- Callbacks are on Thursday, April 26th. If you receive an invitation to callbacks, you will receive a packet to prepare.

- ***EVERYONE*** is considered for casting, regardless of callbacks. If you cannot attend the callback invitation, please don't sweat it!

- If you choose not to go through with your audition, please email Director@BCTOhio.org TODAY (4/23) to cancel.

- If you would like to keep your audition *for experience only*, and not be considered for casting, please alert Staff at the Sign In table when you arrive (it's a great way to get audition experience).

We are looking forward to seeing you all over the next week! Break a leg!

AUDITION UPDATE 4/16- WAITLIST CREATED

Our original time slots are currently filled. If you like, you can have your child be put on our waitlist.

Waitlisted children will be notified, in the order they signed up, if a space becomes available in any of the original spots, and have the opportunity to bump into that day/time slot.

If no spaces become available prior to auditions, you can choose to attend one or both audition nights to see if there are any “no-shows”. There are no guarantees spots will become available. If spots open up, we will use the waitlist order to fill them.

Audition requirements will be sent to you if you choose to be put on the waitlist, so your child may prepare.

To be put on Waitlist, please e-mail director@bctohio.org with following:

Subject Line: Waitlist – [Child’s Name]

High School Musical Jr. Auditionees:

Callback Auditions will be held on Thursday, April 26th from 6-8:30pm, *not* Friday, April 27th. This was an error in the confirmation email sent to you upon signing up. All other information is accurate and correct.

A secondary email was sent to you clarifying this change through Sign Up Genius.

As always, all children who audition (regardless of if they are invited to callbacks/can attend callbacks) *are* still considered for casting.

I apologize for this error, and I am very much looking forward to seeing you all at auditions (there are still some spaces left)!

Warmly,
Ms. Amanda, Director - HSM Jr.
